Americans suffer undercurrents similar to Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder. We've become so used to
hidden Stress that only with serious examination can we see how much we've
resigned to it's presence and normalized it into our lives.
What have we come to feel is normal and do we really really want to live this way? Two income earners per family are felt necessary to keep up,
kids must be protected (yet seldom are) from violent TV and a robotic
educational system, which feeds them dead, low nutrient chicken nuggets and
fries for lunch as a vegetable. The
corporate economic system can flip in an instant to wipe out a lifetime of hard earned
savings. The tax system, which has
evolved from simply raising revenue for the federal government to an instrument
that manipulates economic activities, is so large and complicated that it
allows only corporations and those in the Know to manipulate thousands of codes
and forms to their advantage. Statistically, the rich ARE getting richer as legal fraud systematically squeezes citizen funds to the top. The
corporate world focuses adults and children's views of how they participate in
the American Dream, with the need for pills, nutrient void foods and Outback
lust; the need to consume. Teen use of drugs is rising. The political
system is disconnected from the people, who either tune it out or watch with
resignation from afar.
Mainstream media upholds this reality.
A short time ago I was listening to Mike Malloy on the
radio, driving home late one night. He
was talking along, and then there was dead silence. 15- 20 seconds went by and I wondered if the station went off the air. I was about ready to
find a new station when he said …… "I’m so GOD-damned TIRED of all
this." He began to speak of all the
'asinine' things the government and corporations have done to get us where we are
today. There was another long silence as
I waited in suspense for what he would say next. He finally just said,
"It’s insane. Just
insane". After which he apologized
for his outburst.
None of these bits and pieces of life are new to most living
room conversations. The current state of
affairs is just what it IS and has been for a long time. I met a truly good person who ran an honest
campaign for a high level position in their state government. The smear campaign was unbelievable,
especially the last night of the election.
This person lost, and bottom line, can only be left suspecting that
there are much bigger forces in effect to uphold this very protected network.
Every
issue on this site is a place to investigate, to ask questions. Where
or how does ingrained vested interest come into play to keep things the
same? Where has greed had free reign to be legally woven into our
financial system, and control into our government? It's seriously time
to realize that if the solutions have not come from 'what is, they
won't.
There are stirrings in my community. In a recent local gathering about
sustainability, one person voiced concern about the general state of affairs of
our country, real angst. That was all it
took for others to begin to speak up too, about their fears and how they are
concerned with the way things have been going.
The tone was different from years past, more urgent. Those who attended this gathering were not
activists or used to going to meetings, they were just normal people wanting to
link with community again, showing up to push past their complacency, to join
others, somehow, to do something. The
feeling from many at this meeting was what can I do, because it's so big?
It is my heartfelt feeling that in order to know what to do,
we must become Truth-seekers, willing to disturb our own perception of a
reality we take for granted. This is not
always easy because we've found comfort and safety in this reality, even though
we struggle with it in our daily lives.
As nice people, we look through our 'nice' lens at the world and cannot
comprehend that the leadership network of this country might not have our best
interests at heart.
As Truth-seekers we can seek to become self-aware, educate
ourselves, compare and evaluate information, and envision what might work
better in our lives and in our communities.
Does a system or law add to our feeling of living a good life, or deplete
us? Does it empower or take away from
our sense of responsibility? What is important for the collective to agree
upon, and what is invasive to our birthright, given by God?

What if your community could participate in a government
built from the people up, get married without paying the state to
sanction you, or give a fair share to your community without the terror the IRS
can inflict upon you without just cause? Sounds a bit far-fetched. I
suppose it is for most, yet breaking out of what we think we know, to feel
where we really are and see what is possible, seems to be the new
feeling for the day. What has our innocent trust in others to
govern cost us? Did you, did WE, give consent to the current
conditions of America?
The banking crisis of 1907 led to the establishment of the
Federal Reserve Act in 1913, drafted by the most powerful bankers of the time.
The public wasn't going for it, until the media reported the bankers were
against it, which made the public for it, interesting. The facts of this time
are documented clearly in historic letters, records and government
documents. I'm wondering why this banking connection to government, a
historic fact, has not been taught in our schools?
Has anything changed since then?
Exposure continues to happen, yet blocking whistle blowers
persists, examples at Truthout and Salon.
Mainstream media has coined the term anti-government
to link a "growing underground anti-government"
movement, in this case specifically anti-Federal Government,
to violence. There is thus created a backdrop of fear,
directed toward those who question, protest, call for accountability or
investigation. "Unpatriotic" works well to discredit dissenters, just
as "communist" did at one time. It is common sense that
citizens require balanced reporting to make informed decisions, yet it seems that FOX vs. MSNBC has just polarize our focus to political drama and business as usual, rather than help to broadcast alternative solutions. Political pundits, such as Rachel Maddow and Glen Beck, focus on war against the other side instead of
educate from our leading think tank groups who are creating solutions.
I hope this site helps you to remember what you really want in life. I hope it gives you courage as well as hope, to know what you know and do
what you can. I don't necessarily agree or disagree, or sanction anything
offered here, nor is it offered as legal or any other kind of advise. It is
up to each one of us to be a detective, to educate ourselves, research with
common sense, draw our own conclusions, and connect to our own heart felt next
steps. Balance the truth of exposure with a vision of what could be....
a belief, story, idea
or system either supports people and life and feels right, or it
doesn't.
If you are a parent, you may
discover a new way to communicate with your children, influence your local
school, or help your own children to better parent your grandchildren. If
you are a senior, what local or national organizations can
you join or support? Wherever you are, you may find a new way
to have hope again and align with what you want to see in the world.
The greatest secret of the ages in power circles
(and crime circles) is that people are easily manipulated by their
emotions. It is not normal people who intentionally do
this, yet it's somewhat built into our culture. A salesman is
taught to use envy to make a sale, a mortgage lender just follows the rules of
the company they work for. Humans are very social creatures and want to be
normal, thus we have all adapted our lives to the messages
we hear, the rules of the hierarchical success
ladder, the cries of our political party, or our religion. The
conformity factor in all of us is rewarded within this
system, and the more free you think you are while consuming and
remaining apathetic, the less you will question 'what is'.
Some loyally believe in the system, conform
readily, and trust the government will bring solutions. Some have been
so in survival, so beat down and hurt
that they have little energy left to contribute to change. They
are the casualties of abuse, whether within their families of origin
or the system we live in. Those of us who CAN find
the energy and courage must fortify ourselves to keep going, to question
everything and take even the smallest action in our own family and
community. We thus join others to create a critical
mass to tip the scales of awareness toward a more humane and sane world
.
The books listed in the book list are a personal
beginning to the pristine world of Universal law and mastery of human
relationship. From a strong sense of Universal Law there is no need
to conform to one or any belief system whatsoever! Holding on to
our learned belief systems (i.e. Democrat or Republican,
Christian or Other, Us/them) does nothing to heal the
already incredible divisiveness that has fragmented us individually and
collectively. Freedom from
the need to fit information into a belief system allows a non-linear
flow of information, adding to your overall ability to more accurately assess
and make choices. Examining your current belief systems allows you to
re-think what you thought you knew, and enter into true
choice.
On this path of awareness, it's important to keep your
spirits up, connect with community, keep visioning what you want to see in your life & community, attend
to your own personal growth, and find ways to re-excite your
unfolding path.
